6 Engineering is a safety engineering consultancy based in the North East of England. We were established in 2011 with the aim of supporting continued improvement in safety engineering, to provide a flexible, reliable and professional service to the major hazard industries.
Our founder and director, Nick Howard, holds a BEng (Hons) in Chemical Engineering and an MSc in environmental technology. Nick is also a qualified Functional Safety Engineer and holds FSEng (TÜV Rheinland).
Nick started his career as an undergraduate with Teesside Power Station and as a graduate with Mitsui Babcock and Aker Kvaerner. He is also a committee member of the IChemE Teesside branch and supports local schools’ career events.

Working with us
Our business model is to engage resources on an ‘as-required’ basis, offering clients a fast-responding and cost-effective service. We are able to take on smaller projects, which larger consultancies may find difficult to resource.
